Honoring the Cycles of the Feminine

Today on Sense of Soul Podcast, we have with us Elizabeth Gould, she received a BA in Art History from Stanford University, and worked in the Old Masters art world in New York City for several years. After obtaining an MS in Education from S.U.N.Y., she became a rites of passage educator for girls and women, and the director of a non-profit committed to positive menstrual and menopausal education and awareness. She is the author of The Well of Truth, which grew organically out of her two decades of experience as a mother, teacher, and menstrual activist as well as her love of mythology, goddess traditions, and the moon. Devoted to finding the magic and beauty hidden in daily life, she is thrilled to be part of the rising chorus of voices reclaiming and celebrating the wisdom of the Feminine.

True Love and Suffering

Today we have with us an inspiring, true life hero, Pavel Ythjall. He is one of the top contemporary photographers for in fitness in America. Originally from Sweden, Pavel came he to seek the American dream, which lead him to meeting his beautiful, wife Kat, a major in the US Air Force, originally from Belize, an avid fitness enthusiast, marathoner, and triathlete, earning pro status with the International Federation of Bodybuilding.
After only a year of living his dream and only a year after being married, tragedy struck. Pavel found himself staring into the eyes of a neurosurgeon who told him point-blank: “Your wife will be paralyzed, neck down, for life.”

At the time, Pavel had a broken neck too. His vertebrae were supported by a halo screwed directly into his skull. A tragic accident on the way to a Christmas party had changed their lives forever.

Finding Your True Self in Times of Transition

Today on Sense of Soul Podcast we have. Rev. Dr. Patricia Keel, she is a Unity Minister, teacher of metaphysics and spiritual growth. Patricia’s passion is to support people on their spiritual journey. 
Patricia is a National Organizer and is very active supporting people in North America who wish to attend the courses at EKAM (Oneness University) in Southern India. She has traveled and taken groups to India 20 times in the past 15 years and continue to teach and work with the ancient mystical wisdom of her Indian teachers.
Since March 2020, Patricia has lead a morning meditation group to help support her participants spiritual growth and wellbeing.
In the recent best selling book, The Ultimate Guide to Self Healing VOL.5, Patricia was a contributing author and wrote Chapter 10, named, Divine Discontent: Finding Your True Self in Times of Transition; where  she shares her experiences and her “ABC, healing practice.
Patricia joined us to share her unique awakening experience in she had in India on Dec. 12, 2012, and since then she has had so many more incredible experieces through her deep and transformational journey. 
Patricia started a Unity church in Berkeley, CA in 2001-2013. Now is a speaker and teaches metaphysics and spiritual growth. She has a Doctorate in Ministry, focused on the Reinvention of Work - bringing spirituality into our work. 
Prior to finding her spiritual path Patricia was a real estate broker. She overcame two divorces, a child who survived cancer, turned her pain into purpose and has 32 years of sobriety.

The Power of Vunerability

Today on Sense of Soul Podcast, we have the talented co-creators of the newly released and most gorgeous book, “Exposure - Stories in Honor of Humanity.” 
Photographer and designer Kelly Shroads (one of Mande’s oldest and dearest friends)and scribe and story curator, April Tierney, joined us to share the creative process, and experience in creating this beautiful and inspiring book.
Exposure is a collaborative masterpiece of images and stories in honor of our humanity, a collection of courage, candor, grace, longing, and heartache. 
Their intention in this project was to bring human conditions out of its “steel box of pretense, prejudice, and misunderstanding, and back into the light of an average life and ordinary heart.” It asks the reader to look deep into the face of our authenticity, in order to excavate the beautiful, whole, vibrant people we were each born here to be.”
Together they interviewed over sixty people from a wide range of life experiences, ages, and cultural backgrounds to participate in this project, to share their authentic personal stories. Kelly Shroads captured so beautifully, the authentic portraits of each storyteller and April Tierney transcribed a reliable and poetic unrehearsed rendering of their raw stories they shared.
